CENTRAL OREGON: GATEWAY TO THE OUTDOORS
Welcome to natural mountain adventure at the heart of Bend, Oregon
culture. Mt. Bachelor is located just 25 min from Bend. The high
desert oasis of Bend, OR has "300 days of sunshine" while
Mt. Bachelor averages over 410” of snowfall each season – the best
of both worlds. During winter, the area turns into a snowy playground
with some of the best skiing and riding in the PNW, XC-skiing, snowshoeing,
and sledding.
Bend is home to many of the country's top craft breweries, tax-free
shopping, and great après-adventure entertainment. Small mountain
town vibes meets sophistication here, so expect to find worldly
menus and upscale cocktail bars mixed among local breweries and
taco joints.
THE UNOFFICIAL BEER CAPITAL OF THE USA
The Bend Ale Trail - The Largest Beer Trail in the West! Bend, Oregon
is widely known as the premier outdoor playground of the United
States. But a lesser-known element of the Bend Experience is the
city’s extraordinary abundance of craft beer.
WINTER SNO-PARK RECREATION
Wintry hikes, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, fat biking, and sledding
opportunities abound in the USFS recreation areas off Cascades Lakes
Highway and within close proximity of Mt. Bachelor. If you are parking
at one of these winter recreation areas, you are required to display
a valid Sno-Park permit on your car windshield.
